EXAMPLE of modifying the E-Z Trails Granola recipe
   [also see pictures below]

"Angie's Low Sugars/Calorie Granola"
    Yes, even "E-Z Trails Granola" can be modified to make a delicious cereal/trail mix low in "sugars" & calories. To Make "Angie's Low Sugar/Calorie Granola" (12g of "Sugars"  / 34g Tl Carbohydrates & only 222 calories per ½ cup serving):

Adjust the recipe for "E-Z Trails Granola" as follows:*Note: This modified recipe will yield 1 gallon (Not 5 gallons) of Granola. (See helpful pictures below of these steps).

In Step #1 Eliminate all ingredients and use: ½ cup prune juice, 1 teaspoon vanilla, 1 teaspoon cinnamon
In Step #2 Substitute a pan or pot for the 5 gal pail, Then eliminate the cinnamon and use 2 cups for the amount of oats.
For Step #3: Stirring with a wooden spoon, coat your oats with the sweetener from Step #1
For Steps #4 & #5: Scrape the coated oats (2 Cups) into a loaf pan. Repeat. You will now have 1 loaf pan with 4 cups of coated oats.

Repeat the above steps. You will now have 2 loaf pans with 4 cups of coated oats in each.

For Step #6 Follow the instructions and Bake your 2 loaf pans of   coated oats.
For Step #7: Mix your 2 pans of coated oats in a large pot, pail or paper grocery bag with the following additional ingredients (Not those listed for E-Z Trails Granola):
            1 Cup Each: Whole Almonds, Pecans, Raw Sunflower Seeds
            1 Cup Each: Toasted Wheat Germ, Wheat Bran
            1 Cup Raisins and 2 Cups Dates (Chopped/Flour Coated (No Dextrose))
