pug bread
We like to keep our
"working loaf" of pug bread in the refrigerator and slice-off
1/2 thick inch portions as needed. Pug breads made with honey, wrapped in
a plastic bag and refrigerated will keep for 2 - 3 weeks.
You can slice any size portion you
want, but if you use one of the book's recipes the "nutritional
information" is calculated for 1/2 inch portions (16 each per loaf).

If you baked your bread in a standard size loaf pan approximately 9 inches long
at the top, you will see it's closer to 8 inches (long) at the bottom.
For accuracy measure with a ruler,
or:
1st slice (or visualize slicing) the loaf in half).

Then slice (or visualize slicing)
each half loaf in half.

Then slice (or visualize slicing)
each quarter loaf in half.

Then slice (or visualize
slicing) each eighth loaf in half.

Tip: If portion size and maximum
storage time are important to you:
After over night chilling of a fresh baked loaf (or after moving a frozen loaf
to the refrigerator), cut your loaf into quarters and keep each
quarter loaf in a tightly wrapped plastic bag in the refrigerator. You can then
slice each quarter loaf as needed.
Tip: For a handy "on the
go" snack or meal: Cut each slice of pug in half (lengthwise) and then put
these "squares" into a zip lock bag.
